Sitaram Kandi to Succeed Anjali Byce as CHRO of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited appoints Sitaram Kandi as CHRO from July 1 2026 while Al Noor Ramji is reappointed as Independent Director

Sitaram Kandi has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited with effect from July 1 2026. He will succeed Anjali Byce who has resigned to pursue opportunities outside the organisation and will step down on June 30 2026.

At the same time Al-Noor Ramji has been reappointed as a Non Executive Independent Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited for a second consecutive term effective May 1 2027 subject to shareholder approval.

Kandi is an experienced HR professional with more than 30 years of industry experience across multinational companies including General Electric Monsanto TE Connectivity and Bosch. He joined Tata Motors in 2019 and has previously led functions related to human resources industrial relations passenger vehicles electric vehicles and skill development. He currently serves as CHRO at the company.

Kandi graduated in Mathematics Economics and Statistics from Osmania University. He also holds a master’s degree in Labour Laws and Labour Welfare from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and has studied Business Analytics at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Before this transition Byce served as Group CHRO at Sterlite Technologies from 2019 to 2025 and earlier worked as Director HR at SKF India. Her career also includes leadership roles at Thermax and Cummins India where she handled HR industrial relations workplace safety and organisational initiatives. She holds a master’s degree in Applied Psychology from University of Delhi and a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development.

Ramji currently serves as Chairman of Digital Growth Advisors and has founded and co founded technology startups. His experience includes work on IPOs and corporate governance matters. He most recently served as Group Chief Digital Officer at Prudential plc and earlier held senior leadership positions at Misys Calypso Technology BT Group Qwest Communications UBS and Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a BSc in Electronics from University of London and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
