Piramal Pharma Limited confirms multiple board reappointments and key leadership changes effective 2026 and 2027
The board of Piramal Pharma Limited has approved the reappointment of Nandini Piramal as Executive Director and Chairperson wholetime director with effect from April 1 2027. Peter DeYoung has also been reappointed as Executive Director wholetime director starting October 6 2026.
The company has further reappointed Sridhar Gorthi and Peter Stevenson as Non Executive Independent Directors effective March 30 2027 strengthening governance and board continuity.
In addition Maneesh Sharma has been appointed as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer from April 29 2026 succeeding Pratibha Mishra who has retired after completing her tenure.
Nandini Piramal currently leads strategy and business performance across global operations at Piramal Pharma Limited including development manufacturing and distribution networks across multiple countries. She also oversees key functions such as human resources finance risk information technology and quality. She serves as a Non Executive Director at Piramal Enterprises and is associated with the Piramal Foundation. She holds a degree in Politics Philosophy and Economics from University of Oxford and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Peter DeYoung is CEO of Piramal Global Pharma and a board member at Piramal Pharma Limited where he is responsible for strategy and operational performance. He has previously served as CEO of Piramal Critical Care and President of Piramal Life Sciences. Before joining the group he worked across investing and consulting roles in healthcare and began his career at McKinsey and Company. He has also been associated with the World Economic Forum and Blackstone Group. He holds a degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Sridhar Gorthi is a Founding Partner at Trilegal and specialises in corporate law mergers and acquisitions and private equity. He has advised across sectors including manufacturing pharmaceuticals financial services technology telecom and media and has received recognition from leading legal platforms. He is a graduate of National Law School of India University and is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa.
Peter Stevenson has extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and commercial operations and was part of the global leadership team at Pfizer. His responsibilities included procurement external supply and oversight of manufacturing sites across regions. He later led contract manufacturing operations and retired in 2019 as Vice President and General Manager of Pfizer CentreOne. He has also served on the board of Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases and earlier worked with Rhone Poulenc and Celanese.
