Huhtamaki India Limited has named Kamal Taneja as its Managing Director with effect from January 16 2026. He takes over the role following the completion of the tenure of Dhananjay Salunkhe who stepped down from the position on January 15 2026.
Taneja brings extensive global leadership experience to the role. He previously served as Global Managing Director across Essentra Group entities based in the United Kingdom and Singapore. Earlier in his career he held senior leadership roles at Amcor Speciality Cartons and Ingersoll Rand in Singapore. He has also served as a Non Executive Director for multiple organisations across international markets.
With a strong background in driving business turnarounds operational efficiency and organisational culture change Taneja has led growth initiatives in complex and competitive environments. He places strong emphasis on innovation to enhance product development and improve operational processes. Taneja is an Indian born Australian citizen and holds a Bachelor of Engineering with honours in Mechanical Engineering along with a Master of Science with honours in Economics from BITS Pilani.
