T-Mobile has announced the elevation of Srinivas Gopalan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective November 1, 2025. He will succeed Mike Sievert, who has been at the helm since 2020 and will transition to the role of Vice Chairman.
Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Gopalan has been overseeing technology initiatives and go-to-market operations across both consumer and business segments. He joined T-Mobile in March 2025, bringing with him extensive experience from senior leadership roles at Deutsche Telekom, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone, Hindustan Unilever, and Capital One.
Gopalan also held Board positions in Europe, where he contributed to the transformation of telecom operations across the region. An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi (BBA) and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad (MBA), he combines academic excellence with over two decades of global telecom expertise.
Outside of his professional journey, Gopalan is passionate about blues music, cricket, running, and spending time with family.
