Karnataka Bank has approved the reappointment of Dr. D.S. Ravindran and Balakrishna Alse S. as Independent Directors with effect from January 27 2026 ensuring continuity at the board level.
Dr. Ravindran is a retired Indian Forest Service officer and has been associated with the bank since April 2021. He brings over 34 years of experience in administration finance e governance and public policy and has held senior roles in the Government of Karnataka including Principal Secretary Finance. He has led major digital governance initiatives and currently advises the state government on treasury and financial systems.
Balakrishna Alse S. has served as an Independent Director since May 2021 and has more than 35 years of banking experience. A former Executive Director at Oriental Bank of Commerce he has worked across credit risk management digital banking cyber security and vigilance and continues to contribute to advisory roles in the banking sector.
The reappointments reflect the bank’s emphasis on strong governance and experienced leadership.
