K.M. Balaji has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Whole Time Director of Ashok Leyland for a two year term starting May 28 2026 subject to shareholder approval.
Balaji currently serves as President of Finance and CFO at Ashok Leyland and brings more than three decades of experience within the organisation. During his tenure he has worked across treasury budgeting costing investor relations business finance taxation and product cost management.
He has also been involved in mergers and acquisitions evaluation debt fundraising overseas finance operations and assignments linked to a bus assembly facility in the United Kingdom. His experience spans financial strategy corporate finance and operational management across the automotive sector.
Balaji is a Chartered Accountant and has completed executive management programmes at Harvard Business School Kellogg School of Management Indian School of Business and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
