Kalyani Steels appoints Vartika Shukla as Independent Director for a five year term effective June 24 2026 subject to shareholder approval through postal ballot.
Vartika Shukla has been appointed as an Independent Director and Additional Director of Kalyani Steels Limited for a term of five consecutive years with effect from June 24 2026. The appointment is subject to the approval of members through a postal ballot process.
Shukla is the former Chairman and Managing Director of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. During her nearly 38 year career with EIL, she played a key role in delivering engineering consultancy, project management and EPCM services for energy and infrastructure projects valued at more than USD 100 billion.
As CMD, she led the company’s growth through business diversification, strategic partnerships, geographic expansion, technology driven innovation and operational excellence. Her leadership contributed significantly to strengthening EIL’s position in the engineering and infrastructure sectors.
In addition to her role at EIL, Shukla served as Part Time Chairman of CEIL and held Board positions at RFCL, NRL and ISPRL. Her experience spans engineering, project execution, corporate strategy and governance across the energy and infrastructure industries.
A chemical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Shukla also holds a management certification from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow. She has co authored more than 30 patents and has received several national and industry recognitions for her contributions to engineering, innovation and leadership.
