ICICI Bank Limited announces retirement of Radhakrishnan Nair after completion of second term effective May 1 2026
Radhakrishnan Nair has retired from his position as Independent Director of ICICI Bank Limited with effect from May 1 2026 following the completion of his second term. His tenure reflects extensive experience across banking and financial regulation.
Nair previously served as Managing Director of Corporation Bank Securities Ltd.. In 2005 he joined the Securities and Exchange Board of India as Executive Director where he handled responsibilities across investment management corporate debt and market surveillance.
He later served as a Member at the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India contributing to the development of investment and accounting frameworks for the insurance sector. His regulatory experience has played a role in shaping financial systems and governance practices.
Nair began his career with Corporation Bank in 1976 and went on to serve as General Manager overseeing recovery legal services credit risk and priority sector lending. Over the years he has built expertise across banking operations treasury foreign exchange and regulatory functions and has contributed to policy development with national and international regulatory institutions.
