Standard Chartered has appointed Peter Burrill as interim Group Chief Financial Officer following the departure of Diego De Giorgi who has stepped down to pursue an external opportunity.
Peter Burrill has been associated with Standard Chartered since 2017 and currently holds the role of Group Head of Central Finance along with serving as Deputy Chief Financial Officer. In his interim role he will be based in London and will report to Group Chief Executive Officer Bill Winters.
Before joining Standard Chartered Burrill worked at Deutsche Bank where he served as Group Controller and Co Head of Group Finance. Earlier in his career he spent nearly two decades at KPMG gaining extensive experience across assignments in the United States and Germany. His background reflects deep expertise in financial leadership governance and global banking operations.
