The Board of Directors of SBFC Finance Limited has approved the redesignation of Aseem Dhru from Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director to Executive Vice Chairman with effect from April 1 2026 subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot.
Aseem Dhru has played a key leadership role at SBFC Finance since joining the company in September 2017. With more than 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector he brings deep expertise in business strategy operations and governance. His career reflects extensive exposure to retail banking working capital and business banking segments.
Prior to his association with SBFC Finance Dhru held senior leadership positions at HDFC Bank where he served as Group Head for business banking working capital and retail agri business. He also served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Securities Limited and was a Director on the Board of HDB Financial Services Limited. These roles involved oversight of large scale financial operations and strategic growth initiatives.
Dhru holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Gujarat University. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is also certified by the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. His redesignation is expected to support continuity in leadership and strengthen strategic direction at SBFC Finance.
