Vinita Singhania steps down from the Board of HEG Limited effective June 21 2026 as part of governance and board composition alignment
HEG Limited has accepted the resignation of Vinita Singhania from her position as Non Executive Non Independent Director with effect from June 21 2026.
According to the company’s regulatory filing Singhania stated that her resignation was in line with the objective of aligning the Board structure with governance requirements and maintaining the desired composition of directors. She also confirmed that there were no other material reasons for her decision to step down.
Singhania currently serves as Chairperson and Managing Director of JK Lakshmi Cement Limited and brings more than three decades of experience in business leadership and industry management.
She made history as the first woman to serve as President of both the Cement Manufacturers Association and the National Council for Cement and Building Materials. Throughout her career she has played a significant role in the development of India’s cement industry and corporate sector.
Her achievements have been recognised through several honours including the Woman of the Year award by Uday India the Awards of Excellence by FICCI Ladies Organisation the Best Family Business Award Led by Woman from Moneycontrol Pro and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Indian Cement Review in 2023.
In addition to her leadership role at JK Lakshmi Cement she serves on the Board of Bengal and Assam Company Limited and several other group entities.
