Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited has named Suchita Chatterjee as Head of Internal Audit and confirmed the reappointment of Ajay Kumar Kapur as Independent Director for a second term.
Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited has announced the appointment of Suchita Chatterjee as its permanent Head of Internal Audit. The decision reflects the bank’s continued focus on strengthening governance frameworks and enhancing internal assurance systems.
Suchita Chatterjee brings more than two decades of experience in audit and assurance functions within the banking and financial services sector. Her professional background includes roles at institutions such as Ujjivan Small Finance Bank and IndusInd Bank as well as experience in the microfinance space with Bharat Financial. In her new role at Utkarsh Small Finance Bank she will be responsible for overseeing internal audit operations risk management practices compliance processes and internal control mechanisms. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from Calcutta University and a law degree from Utkal University.
The bank has also reappointed Ajay Kumar Kapur as an Independent Director for a second term on its Board. Kapur has held leadership and advisory roles with organisations including Punjab Tractors Limited Industrial Development Bank of India India SME Technology Services Limited and SIDBI. He currently serves as an advisor to the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation and contributes expertise in governance risk oversight and strategic direction. Kapur holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Roorkee now known as the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
