Singapore’s Temasek fund has appointed Piyush Gupta as Chairman of Temasek India, effective December 1, 2025. Gupta will serve in a non-executive advisory capacity.
Gupta led DBS Group as Chief Executive Officer from 2009 to 2025, transforming it into one of Asia’s most respected financial institutions. He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of Keppel, Chairman of the Singapore Management University Board of Trustees, and Chairman of Mandai Park Holdings.
A globally recognised business leader, Gupta was featured in Harvard Business Review’s “The CEO 100” list in 2019 and received the Public Service Star from Singapore’s President in 2020. His contributions to the industry have earned him several honours, including Global Indian of the Year by The Economic Times (2021), Outstanding Chief Executive of the Year at the Singapore Business Awards (2016), and Singapore Business Leader of the Year by CNBC (2014).
