Dr. Bimal Patel has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) of CARE Ratings Limited, effective November 12, 2025.
Dr. Bimal Patel currently serves as Chairman and Independent Director of NSE Data & Analytics Ltd., NSE Sustainability Ratings & Analytics Ltd., and NSE Indices Ltd. He is also a Public Interest Director on the Board of CDSL.
A distinguished academic and public policy expert, Dr. Patel is the Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Public International Law at Rashtriya Raksha University. He is a Member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), Government of India, and serves on the UN International Law Commission (2023–28), along with several key national committees.
Dr. Patel holds two PhDs in International Law, along with multiple degrees from Leiden University, the University of Amsterdam, and Jaipur University. With over 25 years of experience, he is recognised for his contributions to international law, national security, governance, and institutional leadership.
