Seasoned financial services leader and risk management expert joins Goa Carbon’s Board, effective July 7, 2025
Goa Carbon Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Kshama Fernandes as an Independent Director, effective July 7, 2025. The appointment received shareholder approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on September 9, 2025.
Dr. Fernandes brings with her more than 30 years of experience in management, risk advisory, and academia. She currently serves as the Non-Executive Vice Chairperson of the Northern Arc Group and Executive Chairperson of Northern Arc Investment Managers. Previously, she was the Managing Director & CEO of Northern Arc Capital (2012–2022) and its Chief Risk Officer (2009–2012).
A certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP), Dr. Fernandes holds a Ph.D. in Management Studies, along with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the same field. Before her leadership journey at Northern Arc, she was a professor at the Goa Institute of Management, one of India’s leading business schools.
Her appointment is expected to strengthen Goa Carbon’s corporate governance framework and bring deeper expertise in financial risk management, investment strategy, and sustainable business growth.
