Former Invitation Homes CFO joins as Independent Director and Audit & Risk Committee Member
Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) has announced the election of Ernest (Ernie) Freedman to its Board of Directors as an independent director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Freedman most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Invitation Homes Inc. (NYSE: INVH), the largest single-family home leasing and management company in the United States. He brings with him extensive expertise in rental housing, real estate capital markets, and financial management.
Commenting on the appointment, Willy Walker, Chairman and CEO of Walker & Dunlop, said:

Before joining Invitation Homes, Freedman served as EVP and CFO at Apartment Investment and Management Company (Aimco), one of the largest apartment community operators in the U.S., and as CFO of HEI Hotels and Resorts. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at GE Real Estate and Ernst & Young, building a strong foundation in finance and real estate strategy.
