Effective October 6, 2025, Vodafone Idea (Vi) names Tejas Mehta as Chief Financial Officer, following the tenure of Murthy Gvas.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) has announced the appointment of Tejas Mehta as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 6, 2025. He will succeed Murthy Gvas, who has completed his tenure as CFO of the telecom operator.
Mehta, a Chartered Accountant, brings over 25 years of rich experience across India and international markets, with deep expertise in finance, treasury, supply chain management, and strategic leadership.
He began his career with Marico Industries and later joined Mondelez India in 2002 as a Treasury Manager. Over more than two decades at Mondelez, he held several senior positions globally, including Group Finance Controller in London, Finance and IS Director in Thailand, CFO in Turkey, and Supply Chain Finance Head for Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa.
Most recently serving as CFO of Mondelez India, Mehta has built a strong track record in financial strategy, governance, and business transformation within the consumer goods sector.
An alumnus of Sydenham College, Mumbai, Mehta holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). His appointment underscores Vodafone Idea’s commitment to strengthening its financial leadership as the company continues its efforts in business transformation, market growth, and digital innovation.
