BlackRock has appointed Sumeet Nagar as Managing Director effective January 2026. He will be responsible for strengthening and transforming post trade and investment operations across the organisation.
Sumeet Nagar brings over twenty one years of experience in post trade operations investment operations and risk management. In his new role at BlackRock, he will focus on improving operational efficiency supporting large scale transformation initiatives and scaling global post trade processes.
He has been associated with BlackRock for more than thirteen years where he has held senior leadership roles including Vice President and Director. During his tenure, he led global engineering teams for investment operations and managed Asia Pacific trade operations from India, contributing to the firm’s regional growth and operational stability.
Before joining BlackRock, Nagar worked with Headstrong HR Consulting Services where he supported leading global financial institutions including UBS Investment Bank Wachovia Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. He began his career at Geometric Software Solution, gaining early experience in financial technology and operations. His background spans securities processing derivatives operations clearing and settlement and operational risk management.
