Thomas Cook (India) has approved the reappointment of Sharmila A. Karve as a Non Executive Independent Director with effect from May 29 2026. The reappointment will be subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot.
Sharmila A. Karve continues to bring broad board level and financial expertise to Thomas Cook (India). In addition to this role she serves as a Board Member of several listed companies including Syngene International Ltd. EPL Ltd. Aadhar Housing Finance Ltd. and CSB Bank.
A Chartered Accountant by qualification Karve has built her career across finance accounts and audit functions. Her professional experience also includes an international assignment with the PwC global network where she held a leadership role focused on diversity and inclusion. Her reappointment is expected to further strengthen governance oversight and board effectiveness at Thomas Cook (India).
