Sanjay Pugalia has been reappointed as the Whole-Time Director of New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV), effective April 1, 2026, subject to the approval of shareholders at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting.
Sanjay Pugalia is a seasoned political and business journalist with extensive experience spanning digital platforms, television broadcasting, and print media. He played a key role in launching and leading CNBC Awaaz, where he served for over 12 years and helped establish it as a prominent business news channel.
Earlier in his career, Pugalia held senior editorial leadership roles as News Director at Star News, headed Zee News, and was part of the founding team of AajTak. His international exposure includes serving as President and Head of Strategic Planning and Film Business at the Indian joint venture of Australia’s Nine Network.
In print journalism, he has contributed to publications such as Business Standard and Navbharat Times and was a regular contributor to BBC Hindi Radio during the 1990s. Most recently, Pugalia served as President and Editorial Director at Quint Digital Media Limited, bringing strategic and editorial leadership across digital news platforms.
