Sandeep Bakhshi Reappointed As CEO And MD Of ICICI Bank While Ajay K. Gupta Continues As Executive Director

Sandeep Bakhshi has been leading ICICI Bank as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer since October 15 2018. Before assuming this role he served as Whole Time Director and Chief Operating Officer. He brings more than thirty years of experience within the ICICI Group and has held senior responsibilities across ICICI Ltd. ICICI Lombard General Insurance ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. His academic journey includes studies at institutions across India followed by completion of a management programme from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Ajay Kumar Gupta currently serves as Chairperson of ICICI Securities Primary Dealership Ltd. and I Process Service India Ltd. and is also a board member of ICICI Securities Ltd. and ICICI Home Finance Company Ltd. A Chartered Accountant since 1991 he has been associated with ICICI Bank from November 25 1991. His responsibilities span credit underwriting process management retail and business banking operations technology and data sciences and analytics. Over the years he has worked across corporate banking project finance SME credit policy operations and debt service management supporting the bank’s risk framework governance standards and operational effectiveness.
