The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of S. Krishnan as the Part-Time Chairman of J&K Bank, effective November 13, 2025.
Krishnan previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Punjab & Sind Bank. Following his superannuation, he was appointed CEO & MD of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank in September 2022 with RBI approval. He currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of J&K Bank.
Krishnan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in commerce from Madurai Kamaraj University. With extensive leadership experience in the banking sector, he brings a strong background in governance, regulatory compliance, and institutional management to his new role.
