Jeyandran Venugopal, former Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart, has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL).
Venugopal brings over 20 years of experience in technology and e-commerce leadership. He began his career at Amazon, where he contributed to the establishment of Amazon India and supported early mentorship of Flipkart founders Sachin and Binny Bansal. Over the years, he has worked with organisations such as NCSA, Yahoo, Snapdeal, and Myntra, driving innovation in product development and digital transformation.
During his tenure at Flipkart, he focused on building scalable technology systems, enhancing data platforms, and improving customer experience, while actively supporting initiatives for early-stage entrepreneurs. Venugopal holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering and computer science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
