Completion of tenure marks the end of his role on the Board effective December 06, 2025
RBL Bank has announced that Dr. Somnath Ghosh has completed his term as Non-Executive Independent Director on December 06, 2025. With the conclusion of his tenure, he has ceased to serve on the Board of the Bank.
Dr. Ghosh continues to hold board positions at Basix Municipal Waste Ventures Ltd., Bharat Premun Ltd., and Krishna Bhima Samruddhi Local Area Bank Ltd., contributing to governance development and strategic growth across these organisations.
He has previously served as Independent Non-Executive Director at Kriti Industries (India) Ltd. and Kriti Nutrients Ltd. Beyond corporate leadership, Dr. Ghosh has had a distinguished academic career, including serving as Professor and Founding Dean at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur and as Professor at the Management Development Institute (MDI). His work has significantly supported institution-building and management education initiatives.
Dr. Ghosh holds an undergraduate degree from Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, and completed his postgraduate studies and doctorate at Jawaharlal Nehru University. His background reflects a blend of academic excellence and boardroom experience across financial and industrial sectors.
