Veteran chemical and mining professional concludes decades-long service at HCL
Ramanand Adhikari has retired from his position as General Manager (Chemical) at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) on attaining the age of superannuation, effective November 30, 2025. His retirement marks the conclusion of a long and impactful career with HCL where he played a key role in driving operational improvements and technology advancement across the company’s chemical functions.
Adhikari brings extensive experience in the chemical and mining sectors having served as DGM at HCL since 1995 where he led major technology upgradation initiatives and reported directly to the CMD in Kolkata. His earlier responsibilities included serving as AGM (Chemical) with significant contributions to copper electrolytic refining and metals recovery. He began his career at Hindustan Unilever Ltd. overseeing sulfuric and phosphoric acid plant operations. Adhikari holds a Master’s in Intellectual Property Law, a Management Diploma, a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and a B.Sc in Chemistry.
