South Indian Bank has announced that P.R. Seshadri will demit office as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director with effect from September 30 2026. The decision has been communicated to enable him to pursue personal interests and the bank has initiated the process to identify a suitable successor.
P.R. Seshadri has served as CEO and MD of South Indian Bank since October 2023. Before taking on this role he was the CEO and MD of Karur Vysya Bank. His earlier career includes senior leadership positions across regional sales and distribution and regional lending in the Asia Pacific region as well as managing director roles in consumer finance in India. He has also held responsibilities across structured finance collections automobile finance community banking and mortgage businesses in India.
With wide experience across banking functions markets and geographies Seshadri brings strong expertise in enterprise leadership commercial banking investor and regulatory engagement and scaling both emerging and established businesses. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
