Rallis India Limited announced that Narain Duraiswami has stepped down as Non-Executive Independent Director, effective September 18, 2025, citing increasing professional commitments and time constraints.
Duraiswami, a Chartered Accountant with more than 40 years of global expertise in the agriculture and food industry, has held prominent leadership positions across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He previously served as Vice President & Treasurer at Monsanto Co., USA, and later as President & CEO of Monsanto South Asia.
He is currently the Founding Partner of AgVaya LLP, an advisory firm catering to agribusiness and food companies, and also serves as an Independent Director at Medi Assist. Earlier in his career, Duraiswami was a member of the founding team of ITC’s Agri Business Division and later became Global Head of Smallholder Farming at Bayer AG, shaping strategies for sustainable farming.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Madras and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA.
