Godfrey Phillips India Limited has announced the appointment of Marco Mariotti as an Additional Director in the capacity of Non Executive Non Independent Director. The appointment will take effect from February 1 2026 and is subject to approval by the shareholders.
Marco Mariotti brings more than 25 years of experience in the tobacco sector with a strong international leadership background. He has held senior roles across Europe and several Latin American markets including Argentina Uruguay Paraguay Chile and Bolivia. His career reflects deep experience in operating within regulated markets working with government stakeholders and leading diverse cross functional teams.
His professional expertise spans general management commercial operations government relations finance and business development. Mariotti holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau France.
