Company begins leadership transition; official announcement forthcoming
Sandeep Kataria has stepped down as the global Chief Executive Officer of Bata Corporation after five years of service, as per The Economic Times. The individual is reportedly going to remain with the firm for a further six months to facilitate a proper transition.
Kataria became the first Indian to lead the Switzerland-headquartered footwear company. He also held the position of Managing Director at Bata India during his eight-year tenure at Bata. His experience encompasses top positions such as Chief Commercial Officer at Vodafone, General Manager at Pizza Hut UK & Europe, and CMO at Yum! Brands. He has held key brand positions at Unilever. Kataria is an alumnus of IIT Delhi (Chemical Engineering) and XLRI Jamshedpur (MBA).
