CESC Limited has announced that Kush Singh has resigned from his role as Head of the Power Sector with effect from January 1 2026 citing personal reasons.
Singh joined CESC in October 2024. Prior to this role he was associated with Essar Power from 2018 where he served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director. During his tenure he was responsible for a diversified power portfolio comprising large scale thermal gas and multi fuel plants in India and Canada along with international coal mining operations. He also played a key role in advancing renewable energy initiatives energy storage solutions nuclear technology development and new manufacturing projects across multiple geographies.
Earlier in his career Singh worked with leading power sector organisations including NTPC and Adani Power. In these roles he contributed to project planning execution and operational oversight across several power generation assets in India. His experience covers the full lifecycle of power projects from concept and development to commissioning and commercial operations.
A mechanical engineering graduate from BIT Mesra Singh brings nearly four decades of experience in the power and energy sector. His expertise includes profit and loss management strategic business planning mergers and acquisitions contract negotiations and large infrastructure project development.
