Abbott India Limited has appointed Kartik Rajendran as its Managing Director (MD), effective June 14, 2025. The Board approved the appointment on November 24, 2025.
Rajendran brings over two decades of management and leadership experience, including more than eight years with Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. He currently serves as Regional Head for Abbott’s Southeast Asia pharmaceuticals business.
He has previously led multiple strategic and commercial growth roles within Abbott — including General Manager of the Specialty Care business in India, Commercial Director for the Hospital Business, India Head for New Products, and Commercial Excellence Head.
Before joining Abbott, Rajendran spent six years at McKinsey working on strategic assignments across India, Southeast Asia, and China. He began his career in the shipping sector with roles in India, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Rajendran holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Delhi University.
