Microsoft names Judson Althoff as Chief Executive Officer of its Commercial Business, leading an integrated global team across engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance.

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Judson Althoff as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Commercial Business, where he will lead a newly structured global commercial leadership team that unifies engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and finance functions.

Althoff, a seasoned leader, joined Microsoft in 2013 as President of Microsoft North America and was later promoted to Executive Vice President of Worldwide Commercial Business in 2016. With over a decade of leadership at the tech giant, he has been instrumental in driving Microsoft’s cloud, enterprise, and digital transformation strategies worldwide.

Alongside his role at Microsoft, Althoff currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Ecolab. Prior to Microsoft, he spent several years at Oracle as Senior Vice President (SVP) and earlier in his career worked with EMC as a District Sales Manager.

Althoff holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. His appointment reflects Microsoft’s continued focus on strengthening its commercial business leadership, ensuring growth across cloud services, enterprise solutions, and global partnerships.
