JioStar CEO Ishan Chatterjee Appointed Chairman of IAMAI Digital Entertainment Committee

IAMAI names JioStar Sports CEO Ishan Chatterjee as Chairman of its Digital Entertainment Committee while Deepit Purkayastha continues as Co Chair.

The Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has appointed Ishan Chatterjee, Chief Executive Officer of JioStar Sports, as the Chairman of its Digital Entertainment Committee (DEC).

Chatterjee succeeds Kiran Mani, who previously chaired the committee. Meanwhile, Deepit Purkayastha, Co Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inshorts, will continue to serve as Co Chair of the committee.

Before joining JioStar Sports, Chatterjee served as Managing Director of YouTube India and spent 13 years at Google in leadership positions across the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. He began his professional career at McKinsey & Company and Hindustan Unilever, where he built expertise in business strategy, analytics and marketing.

In his new role at IAMAI, Chatterjee will work closely with industry stakeholders to address key issues affecting the digital entertainment sector, including technology, content, consumer engagement and public policy.

With more than two decades of experience across technology and media, Chatterjee has held several leadership roles focused on business growth and digital innovation. He is an alumnus of The Wharton School and St. Stephen’s College Delhi.
