Indraprastha Gas Appoints BPCL’s Subhankar Sen as Chairman

Apr 2, 2026

IGL names Subhankar Sen as Chairman effective April 1, 2026, following the retirement of Raj Kumar Dubey.

Indraprastha Gas Limited has appointed Subhankar Sen as its Chairman with effect from April 1, 2026. He succeeds Raj Kumar Dubey, who retired from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).

Subhankar Sen currently serves as Director (Marketing) at BPCL and has been nominated in line with IGL’s practice of appointing its Chairman on a rotational basis between promoter companies BPCL and GAIL (India) Limited for a two-year term.

With over three decades of experience, Sen has worked across fuel retailing, lubricants, and energy transition. At BPCL, he oversees marketing operations spanning fuels, LPG, aviation, and gas, along with responsibilities covering projects, pipelines, procurement, and digital initiatives.

He has been involved in projects related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure and doorstep diesel delivery, and has also engaged with policymakers on initiatives linked to energy transition.
