Veteran civil servant returns to lead IICA, bringing decades of experience in corporate law and governance.
For the second time, Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh has taken over as the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs’ (IICA) director general and chief executive officer. Singh is a 1992-batch Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service officer with more than 30 years of experience in corporate law, public policy, ESG reporting, and finance.
In his previous roles as CEO of IEPFA, Member Secretary of the Insolvency Law Committee, and Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, he made a substantial contribution to the creation of the BRSR framework and IBC reforms. Singh oversaw IICA from 2017 to 2018, making it financially self-sustaining. Singh is also a former member of the IBBI Governing Body.
He has international experience with the UNDP in Afghanistan and holds degrees from Delhi University, FMS Delhi, and JNU. It is anticipated that Singh’s leadership will enhance IICA’s position in corporate governance and environmentally friendly business operations.
