JSW Steel appoints Dev Bajpai as Non Executive Independent Director on its Board with effect from July 2 2026.
Dev Bajpai has been appointed as a Non Executive Independent Director and Additional Director on the Board of JSW Steel Limited with effect from July 2 2026.
Bajpai was a member of the Management Committee at Hindustan Unilever from 2010 and was elevated to Whole Time Director and Executive Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs in 2017. He retired from the company in December 2024 and continues to serve as an advisor.
During his tenure, Bajpai also chaired Unilever Nepal Limited and served on the Board of the Hindustan Unilever Foundation. His leadership experience spans legal affairs, corporate governance, compliance and strategic business management.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Maruti Udyog, Marico, Indian Hotels Company and ICICI Venture Funds Management Company, building expertise across the automobile, auto components, FMCG, hospitality and private equity sectors.
With more than three decades of professional experience, Bajpai is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He holds a law degree from the University of Delhi and has completed an executive programme at Harvard Law School.
