Dr. Pawan Kotwal has concluded his term as Non Executive Non Independent Director on the Board of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and has formally retired from the role with effect from December 31 2025.
Dr. Kotwal is a senior Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 AGMUT cadre and currently holds the position of Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Over the course of his administrative career he has played a key role in public sector governance and regional development.
During his earlier responsibilities as Principal Secretary he was closely associated with policy initiatives in health and medical education in Ladakh. His work focused on strengthening healthcare infrastructure improving access to medical services and enhancing institutional capacity for medical education. These efforts supported broader government programmes aimed at improving public health outcomes and community welfare in the region.
His retirement from the Board marks the completion of his contribution to Jammu and Kashmir Bank in a non executive capacity while he continues to serve in senior administrative leadership.
