Chander Prakash Gurnani has stepped down from the Board of Gillette India Limited as an Independent Director with effect from January 6 2026 citing personal reasons and growing professional commitments.
Gillette India Limited has announced the resignation of Chander Prakash Gurnani from his position as Independent Director. His decision to step down is effective from January 6 2026 and comes in light of personal considerations and his expanding professional responsibilities.
Gurnani is a seasoned business leader with more than four decades of experience across the technology and consulting sectors. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tech Mahindra where he led the organisation through major phases of growth global expansion and business transformation until December 2023.
Over the course of his career he has held senior leadership roles at Hewlett Packard Perot Systems and HCL Corporation. His professional journey includes building international businesses driving start ups and leading organisational turnarounds across diverse markets. He has also contributed to industry development through his appointment as Chairman of NASSCOM in April 2016 where he supported policy advocacy and digital initiatives.
Known for his strategic mindset and people focused leadership Gurnani has guided organisations through complex change while strengthening global partnerships and innovation capabilities. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
His resignation marks the conclusion of his association with Gillette India Limited and the company acknowledged his contribution to the Board during his tenure.
