SpiceJet has appointed Chandan Sand as Executive Director on its Board.
Chandan Sand, who has been associated with SpiceJet since June 2001, brings over two decades of experience in the aviation sector. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to several core strategic functions, with deep expertise in aviation law, aircraft transactions, and regulatory governance.
Sand has led major initiatives involving restructuring and complex aircraft-related legal work, and continues to play a pivotal role in the airline’s growth and expansion strategy. As the Company Secretary of SpiceJet, he has been instrumental in strengthening corporate governance and ensuring strict compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
He holds degrees in commerce and law, is an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
