Bhavesh Zaveri To Retire As Executive Director After Completion Of Tenure

Bhavesh Zaveri is set to retire from his position as Executive Director effective April 18 2026 following the completion of his approved term.

Bhavesh Zaveri has served as an Executive Director since April 2023 where he has led critical functions covering ATM services operations and administration. His professional journey with HDFC Bank began in 1998 within the operations function and later progressed to a leadership role in wholesale banking operations in the early 2000s.

Over time he assumed broader responsibilities including group level oversight of operations and subsequently the technology function. This phase played a key role in supporting the institution’s digital transformation initiatives with a focus on operational efficiency technology integration and service delivery across banking platforms.

With more than 36 years of experience in banking operations cash management and technology he has overseen multiple verticals including corporate MSME and retail banking. His scope of work has covered payments cash management trade finance treasury services and ATM related products. He has also contributed to the wider banking ecosystem through participation in regulatory committees involvement in the creation of national payment infrastructure and service on an international financial messaging board.

Bhavesh Zaveri holds a postgraduate degree in commerce from Mumbai University and is a certified banking professional. His retirement marks the conclusion of a long and impactful leadership tenure within the banking sector ensuring a structured transition at the executive level.
