As of November 4, 2025, Shailesh Haribhakti has been appointed by the Adani Group as a Non-Executive Independent Director (Additional Director) of Adani Power Ltd.
A distinguished chartered accountant, thought leader, international speaker, and Indian board icon is Shailesh Haribhakti. As a certified internal auditor, fraud examiner, financial planner, and chartered and cost accountant, he brings more than fifty years of experience to the table. He is regarded as a serial innovator who supports exponential technologies, environmental stewardship, and sustainable value development.
Shailesh Haribhakti is the chairman of the chartered accounting firm Shailesh Haribhakti & Associates. He makes a contribution by holding a number of senior positions in advisory and corporate organizations. He is the Chairman and Co-Founder of GovEVA, DialESG, and the Bharat Clean Rivers Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Board of IRM India and the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Board Stewardship. He has served in high-level roles over the years, including Chairman of United Way India and the National Pension System Trust.
At the moment, he has positions as Chairman or Board Member at businesses like Gaja Capital, TVS Motor Company, Swiggy, Future Generali India Life / Non Life, Protean EGOV Technologies Ltd., and Bajaj Electricals Ltd. In addition, he serves as the chair of the Watershed Organization Trust’s Advisory Council. He formerly served on the Torrent Pharma board.
On the International Accounting Standards Board’s Standards Advisory Council and on several SEBI committees, he has represented India. He has been connected to organizations for professionals like the Rotary Club of Bombay and the Bombay Management Association. Through writing and speaking engagements, Haribhakti frequently offers thoughts on economic policy, sustainability, and governance. Reimagining ESG, Audit Renaissance, and The Digital Professional are among his works.
He received an honorary Doctor of Letters from ITM University, a master degree from the University of Mumbai, and the Global Competent Boards Designation from Competent Boards Inc., Canada. His career is a reflection of his longstanding involvement in business leadership, governance, and finance in the Indian industry.
With effect from May 31, 2025, Adani Power has also named Shersingh Khyalia and Manmohan Srivastava as Non-Executive Independent (Additional Directors).
