Experienced banking leader to take charge as CFO and Key Managerial Personnel of Axis Bank
Axis Bank has announced the appointment of Rajeev Mantri as its Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel. His appointment will take effect from September 28 2026.
Rajeev Mantri currently serves as Executive President and Chief Financial Officer at Bandhan Bank where he leads the finance and strategy functions. His responsibilities include financial planning accounting financial reporting balance sheet management capital allocation taxation procurement payments and investor relations.
With nearly three decades of experience in financial services Mantri has built expertise across banking credit information consumer goods and international financial institutions. During his career he has held senior leadership positions at Citibank Standard Chartered and Mashreq across India Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. His experience includes banking finance regulatory engagement strategic planning and business transformation.
Mantri is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He also holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD Business School Singapore.
His appointment is expected to strengthen Axis Bank’s leadership team by bringing extensive expertise in banking finance corporate strategy financial management and regulatory compliance.
