Murali Krishna Chevuturi steps down as Independent Director of Alkali Metals Limited effective June 8 2026 citing health reasons
Murali Krishna Chevuturi has resigned from his position as Independent Director of Alkali Metals Limited due to health reasons. His resignation became effective on June 8 2026.
Chevuturi currently serves as Partner and Chief Executive Officer of M. Bhaskara Rao and Co. and previously headed Corporate Advisory Services at Brahmayya and Co.. Between 2009 and 2011 he also served as Group Chief Financial Officer of the Amara Raja Group.
Throughout his career he has held several leadership roles within the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India including serving as Chairman of the Southern India Regional Council. He has contributed significantly to the development of accounting auditing and forensic standards in India.
His professional contributions include serving on ICAI’s Auditing and Assurance Standards Board and being part of the core group responsible for drafting the Forensic Accounting and Investigation Standards. He also continues to serve as a Non Executive and Independent Director on various corporate boards.
Chevuturi graduated in Commerce with top academic honours qualified as a Company Secretary in 1978 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1980. He later earned an MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh in the United States.
