HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited approves Vibha Padalkar’s reappointment as CEO and Managing Director from September 12 2026 subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals
Vibha Padalkar has been reappointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited with effect from September 12 2026. The reappointment is subject to approvals from shareholders and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.
Padalkar joined HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited in 2008 and was appointed CEO and MD in 2018. Prior to this role she served as Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer where she played a key role in the company’s public listing in 2017 and contributed to a major merger and acquisition transaction in the life insurance sector.
She is also a member of the executive committee of the Life Insurance Council and has been recognised by several institutions including Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ET Prime IMA India Fortune Business Today Business World India Today and The Economic Times for her leadership and contributions.
Padalkar is a Chartered Accountant and a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She brings extensive experience in financial management corporate strategy and insurance sector leadership.
