Jio Financial Services Limited has named Sandeep Khetan as Group Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management Personnel with effect from March 23 2026. He will succeed S. Anantharaman who will step down from the role effective March 20 2026 to pursue other professional opportunities.
Khetan joined the organisation on July 30 2025 as Head of Integrated Risk Management. In this position he played a key role in building a unified risk governance structure across lending insurance and payments businesses. He focused on aligning risk frameworks and internal control systems to create a strong technology enabled second line of defence across the group.
Prior to joining Jio Financial Services Limited Khetan spent more than two decades at ICICI Bank where he held multiple leadership roles. His experience covers credit and policy functions across SME MSME and supply chain finance segments as well as retail and business banking distribution. He is a Chartered Accountant from the 2001 batch and brings over 24 years of experience in banking with deep expertise in credit market and operational risk management.
Anantharaman most recently served as Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Baroda. Earlier he held senior positions at HDFC Bank where he was Joint Head of Wholesale Credit managing a large credit portfolio. He also served as Group Chief Risk Officer at L&T Finance Holdings leading enterprise wide risk initiatives and digital underwriting programmes.
His international experience includes senior risk leadership roles at Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Commercial Bank of Kuwait and Gulf Bank. With more than 30 years of experience Anantharaman is recognised for his work in strengthening credit market and operational risk frameworks. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
