Mihir Prakash Bajoria To Take Over As MD Of IFGL Refractories Limited, Succeeding James Leacock McIntosh

IFGL Refractories Limited has approved the appointment of Mihir Prakash Bajoria as Managing Director with effect from March 1 2026 subject to shareholder approval. He will succeed James Leacock McIntosh who will step down from the role effective February 28 2026.

Mihir Prakash Bajoria has been associated with the IFGL Group for over a decade. He served on the Board of Monocon International Refractories Limited the UK subsidiary of the group from February 2010 to August 2025. He initially joined as a Director and was elevated to Chairman in 2015 a position he held until August 31 2025. Bajoria has been involved in overseeing global operations and international business initiatives within the group. His experience spans strategic planning operational oversight and leadership across multiple markets. He holds a diploma in international relations politics and economics from Oxford Brookes University and completed the International Baccalaureate at Sevenoaks School.

James Leacock McIntosh has served as Managing Director of IFGL Refractories since September 2021. Prior to this appointment he was President of the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary EI Ceramics LLC except for a sabbatical period between September 2014 and September 2015. He holds a master’s degree in science with a specialisation in marketing from the University of Glasgow along with a postgraduate diploma from the University of Paisley and a higher national certificate in mechanical and process engineering from Clydebank Technical College Scotland.
