Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Operations) at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), has been assigned additional charge of Director (Mining) with effect from September 22, 2025. The appointment received approval on November 19, 2025.
Sinha brings over 25 years of experience from NMDC Ltd., where he worked across mine planning, production, mineral processing, lease acquisition, and safety. His roles spanned from serving as a blasting engineer to leading mine planning and digital transformation initiatives, including ERP and fleet management systems. He has contributed to major iron ore projects, techno-economic feasibility reports (TEFRs), and NMDC’s long-term production strategy. His research focuses on mine life planning, and he has presented his work at international mining forums. Sinha holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Nagpur University, an MBA (HR) from IGNOU, and a PhD in Mining Engineering from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad.
