National Stock Exchange (NSE) Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD) Ashish Chauhan has received the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award from Regulation Asia at its Awards for Excellence 2025 ceremony in Singapore.
The award recognises Ashish Chauhan’s outstanding contribution to the development and modernisation of India’s financial markets and his influence on the broader global financial ecosystem.
Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Chauhan expressed that he was “humbled and deeply grateful” for the recognition of his three-decade-long career in the financial services industry.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is one of Regulation Asia’s highest honours, celebrating individuals who have made a lasting impact in strengthening and advancing the region’s financial systems.
An IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta alumnus, Chauhan was instrumental in the establishment of NSE and the automation of India’s stock markets. Prior to his current role, he served as Managing Director and CEO of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), where he led the exchange’s public listing and major technology expansion initiatives.
