The Government of India has appointed L. Satya Srinivas as Executive Director representing India at the Asian Development Bank (ADB)
Srinivas, a 1991-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), brings over three decades of experience in customs, indirect taxation, and international trade policy.
He is currently serving as Chief Negotiator for India’s Free Trade Agreement (FTA) talks with the European Union and the United Kingdom, where he has played a crucial role in advancing India’s trade agenda. Within the Department of Commerce, Srinivas also oversees Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and the Trade Intelligence & Analytics division, contributing significantly to the formulation of India’s trade, investment, and economic diplomacy strategies.
His appointment to the Asian Development Bank underscores India’s focus on strengthening its representation in multilateral financial institutions and enhancing its role in global economic governance.
