Spencer’s Retail Limited has appointed Manjir Basu as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel (KMP), effective September 19, 2025. He succeeds Sandeep Kumar Banka, who will transition to a new role within the group and step down as CFO on the same date.
Basu, a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of professional experience, has a strong background in accounts, business finance, cost control, treasury, fundraising, compliance, and risk management. He is also well-versed in stakeholder engagement and digital transformation initiatives.
Throughout his career, Basu has played a pivotal role in enhancing financial operations, driving governance improvements, and aligning finance strategies with organizational goals across multiple companies. His appointment is expected to strengthen Spencer’s Retail’s financial leadership as the company continues to expand and optimize its business operations.
